Steve is off in Calgary today attending yet another nerd conference. I imagine he will be staying in Calgary for a while to catch some of the game before he heads back home tonight. I will be leaving shortly for Melissa's place where there will be hockey, burgers, babies and dogs. Mel is one of my clients at work but we have since developed a friendship and I am looking forward to seeing her again after she was in Australia for 3 weeks. I have no new photos although I think I may bring my camera tonight. The condo is still dragging along and I don't foresee it being done before August. Soccer is going well with 2 wins and a tie that should have been a win... Work is OK - have a busy week ahead and then I have a crazy four days from the 8th to the 11th as I will be attending both a Medical Exercise Specialist certification course as well as having my convocation, going to the Pilates concert Saturday at the Starlite, having my parents and Steve's parents over for a grad party the Friday night and having soccer practice on the Sunday. Hope I have enough steam to get it all done! Go Oil Go!

Not a typical post...

I am just sitting here thinking about things. It is humorous now looking back at all my recent posts. I imagine this would be what it would be like if I turned into a parent and all I ended up doing was posting baby pictures and telling everyone about all the times I had to change diapers and blah blah blah. Change of subject! - I still get a much better feeling at the end of the day at my job as opposed to the bar stint. Quite a few times it really seems like I make a difference and introduce people into something that they can really enjoy. Too bad Mom and Dad aren't here for me to whip into shape a little harder than they push themselves! Love you guys - keep swimming and cross training!

Hey Mel - I apologize for posting more about dogs but as you know our game tonight was cancelled... I went to Game 6 Detroit vs. the Oil and man was that a heart attack and a half! Steve had originally lied to me about how much he spent on his "2 rows from the Oilers bench seats" and I'm not sure how he figured I wouldn't be able to read the actual ticket cost when he let me trade seats for a period... In any case he ended up enjoying the view better from the standing room seat and I massively enjoyed sitting right in the action for 2 periods. The poor Red Wings fan sitting next to me conceeded defeat in the end. I turned to him and informed him I would be tossing his Red Wings cap on the ice and he paused for a few seconds but then capitulated and I had the honor of throwing a cap on the ice. We adjurned to the Boorman residence for a beer and then briefly hit the madness that was Whyte. I promptly decided that I was excited for the win but not excited for the bar scene and gathered Steve up for our cold walk home. Good thing the continued electric vibes from the game kept us somewhat warm on the way home. The pizza Steve bought didn't hurt either!
